Air and Water Pumps

Green Thumb Hydro carries top of the line Hydroponic Air and Water Pumps from the industries most trusted names. We know these in and out. We didn't learn about our pumps from the back of a brochure or some sales weasel in a cheap suit. We've put 'em through the ringer, trust us you won't find better.

At the end of the day hydroponic water pumps come in three distinct flavors:

  1. submersible
  2. non-submersible
  3. partially-submersible

A submersible unit sits and pumps completely submerged in the nutrient solution, a non-submersible is an external unit outside of the nutrient solution and a partially-submersible sits in the solution to pump but the top of the pump has to remain dry.

If you're not sure what pump best fits your needs please drop us a line or give us a ring, we're actually very helpful. (except on Mondays, we also really, really hate Mondays!)

Hydroponic air pumps function in much the same way as a pump in a fish tank, their only job in life is to make sure that water is properly aerated. The general rule of thumb when picking an air pump is the total volume of your garden. There's formulas and stuff to get precise, but we're not looking to bore you. The most important factors are: total number of outputs, liters per minute and PSI. If you need help deciding what works best for your grow / budget ask us! (though, not on Mondays, see above -- lol)
